The most beautiful moments in life are moments when you are expressing your joy, not when you are seeking it.

Let me describe how someone else appears to me when they’re in that zone.
I was watching John Mayer’s livestream of a live performance the other day. It was electric! I’m always mesmerised by artists when they’re tapped into the absolute essence of who they are. He closes his eyes, he hunches his shoulders with effort, as if he’s breathing with the exertion to express pushing his voice out. His eyelids flutter, sweat on his brow and his face takes on a grimace, as he sings belting out the song “Belief”, lol. Quite apt! If it was anyone else, they’d look ridiculous. He looks luminous.
Yet, I’m sure while he’s in the zone, he’s entirely unconscious of the audience. He has merged with his greater self. He’s singing to himself in an empty room. This room is that indefinable, infinite space within where all the cloaking layers have been dropped. He’s sitting in the core of his divinity, where time and space don’t exist. And the moment appears to stretch into the never-ending horizon past the point of seeing, where you touch the absolute. Where you drop the container of your self-made identity.
This is the point where you are no one and yet your essence touches all. This is the rock star god within!
No wonder he’s got all those screaming fans, lol. He’s touching all of them and they know it. They have merged with him, as he has merged with them.
This isn’t a unique phenomenon. We are all capable of reaching this state of grace. We do it by immersing ourselves within our own personal way of creating, whenever you express your highest excitement. We travel there when we're experiencing joy. But more often than not, its when we're feeling absolutely free to show the world who we are, baring our innermost thoughts and emotions while we drop all self-judgments. Not caring who's listening or watching. Enjoying our own expression for our own pure pleasure. This is the zone of flow.
The way to get there is to destroy the self......or rather any walls which you define as the self. I'll describe that in another post.
Cheerio!
