Those who flow as life flows know they need no other force.
- Lao Tzu
But most people are tapped into it, just enough to keep them going. They’re neither happy or sad, just ho-hum focused on getting on with their lives the best way they know how, even when they’d rather be doing something else.
The other day I picked up a leaf, which just fell off a tree. It was still supple and soft. It was a vibrant green and the veins were clearly delineated on its surface. It was alive. But as the day went on, the leaf lost its lustre. The green slowly went dull. The texture hardened and became brittle. It was disconnected from its source of sustenance. In effect, it was dying. This too happens to us when we are not connected to spirit. The physical body withers and fades away, albeit a whole lot slower.
There is this awesome concept of being in flow. It’s also sometimes described as being in the zone. This is what happens when you, the individual person, living on this earth plane, is in perfect energetic alignment with your higher self and your higher purpose. You are essentially fully tapped into the cosmic life force with your every fibre.
You are so in-tune with the frequency of your being, that everything you create, everything you express, everything you do smoothly arises. Your book intentionally writes itself as if by magic. Your painting is vibrant and balanced. Your music is inspired. While you're creating, it is as if time has been stretched, in fact you're in what I call "no-time" and you are in a lovely state of bliss....cos it is a form of self-love, after all.
When you are in perfect alignment, you are also constantly regenerating your body. You look ageless. You don't get sick. Your eyes are bright. You have so much energy to do lots of things...you rarely get tired. Even better, your words always make an impact. Your jokes are funnier and you become attractive to everyone you encounter. Next time you get the opportunity, I ask you to observe someone you know who is living in the flow. They are beautiful to behold, as they are living their true highest potential.
And how do you know what your highest potential is? It is what you're passionate about. It is what gives you joy. It is what you'd be doing if money were no object. And if you don't know what it is, I suggest you go back to your memories as a child. Do you remember what used to bring you joy? Do you remember what kind of play got you immersed for hours and hours? And you didn't want to stop? Find this and you've found your bliss, what you're meant to be doing in this life. Your path to getting back into the flow. You can do it, beautiful people.
