The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet everyone rushes around in a great panic, as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.
- Alan Watts
Apparently in the upper planes, there's a very long queue, miles and miles long of souls waiting to do the trippy thing and experience being human. But of course, it wouldn't be fun if we knew it was all one big carousel ride, so we conveniently agreed to forget. Yes, we agreed to forget we're infinite beings. So that we can fully immerse ourselves in the joy, in the love, in the sadness, in the rush, in the anger and in the suffering of being human.
We're schooled from childhood to achieve and make something of our lives, within the rules of this earth plane. But we end up comparing what we do and where with are with what others are doing. So it becomes a race to outdo another, instead of just being. Relaxing, taking your hands off the tiller and just being. Allowing what's meant to happen, happen.
Because the greatest gift is life itself. Getting the opportunity to experience what it's like to be in a body, with its senses, feeling, seeing, hearing, tasting and smelling our world....sensing with our hyper-senses and if we were used to zipping around at will in the upper planes, enjoying creating our existence in slo-mo. Appreciating every single moment of life! We may be infinite, but the body isn't. Here's to the greatest gift! Enjoy!
